Breaking, Training, Starting ? What ever you want to call it, the initial starting, backing & riding of a young horse is the single most import six to eight weeks in the life of any young horse that is destined for a working life.

Ecklands Sport Horses Start in the region of fifty to sixty young horses every year. Horses broken on the yard are a combination of our own and clients horses but all are treated in exactly the same way and are worked in our own system of Common Sense Horsemanship.

Every young horse is worked at its own pace with the aim of establishing obedience, lightness and balance as well as general overall ridability.

Ecklands Sport Horses is the Approved Young Horse trainer of the Irish horsemanship Society.
