In an effort to keep things as simple as possible we try to limit the number of rules and regulations applied to livery customers and their horses.

The rules we have put in place are to insure a safe and regulated environment for both Horses and Owners and we hope you find them easy to comply with.

Rules

Insurance
·All horses must be insured before being accepted in the yard.
·All Riders who ride out of the yard must have a rider policy.
·Proof of insurance must be presented for inspection to Dave Kavanagh.
·The Yard is independently insured for public and employers liability.

Fees.
All livery fees are payable one month in advance
·Fees cover Stalling, Bedding, & Feed plus Turnout when weather permits.
·Fees do not cover farrier or Vet, nor do they cover attendance for Farrier or Veterinary visits

Additional Charges:

Transport €40.00 Minimum
Farrier/Vet Attendance €20.00 per hour.
Riding Out €20.00 per day or €60.00 Per Week

Farrier and Veterinary.
You are responsible for your animal’s health and well being, we provide care and attention within the scope of normal livery as outlined above and will bring your attention to any illness or ailment we notice. However, we accept no liability for any illness of an animal in our care.

You are required to nominate a Veterinary Surgeon to treat your animal in an emergency situation. Name and telephone number of nominated Vet to be left with Ber Kavanagh.

If you do not nominate one or your nominated Vet cannot be contacted, Ecklands Livery reserves the right to contact our own Vet to treat your animal. All costs will be added to your Monthly bill and are payable with your next months Livery.

You are free to use any Farrier you chose and you are required to be in attendance during farrier visits unless you have made prior arrangements to have a member of livery staff available. If you use our own nominated farrier or vet we are happy to have work done on our account but payment for such work must be paid with your next due livery.

Tack & Equipment

As a paying Livery Client you are entitled to full use of the Tack Room and Space is allocated to you. The Tack Room is opened during normal working hours and closed at all other times. Brushes, Lead ropes & Lunge-lines belonging to the yard are available for use by paying liveries but we ask that any equipment used, is cleaned and returned to the tack room. Under no circumstances is livery equipment to be removed from the yard. Saddles, Bridles, Breaking Tack and Bits belonging to the yard are NOT available for use without permission. We strongly recommend that any tack being stored at the yard be insured.

We accept no liability for Equipment lost from the tack room but will prosecute without hesitation any individual proven to have stolen any equipment from the yard or its environs.

Yard opening Hours.

Paying Liveries are entitled to visit there horse at any time but to preserve the routine of horses stabled, we ask that the following hours be observed.

Summer Time April 15^th to September 30^th
Open 8:30am         Close 8:30pm

Winter Time October 1^st to April 14^th
Open 8:30am         Close 6:00pm

Horses are fed at 9:00am in the Mornings and 5:00pm in the evenings and you are asked not to disturb horses within 30mins of feeding times.

We strongly discourage visits after normal closing times, as switching on lights disturbs the “Quiet Time” of all stabled animals and upsets their routine. If you need to visit your animal outside of opening times or your horse is away and not returning until after normal closing times, you will be allocated an outside stable for the night.
